Meet Sanga
Sangita (Sanga) Kunwar was born in a Hindu home, when she was just 5 years old her mother died and her father abandoned her and her 3 sisters. She was taken into an orphanage where she learned about God’s love. She was sad that she was an orphan, yet she called on God and found Him as her Father. He spoke to her from Psalm 139, she believed, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made…I was knit together in my mother’s womb…God saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in His book, before one of them came to be!” Sanga knows what it is to be an orphan, and she has a heart for those who are abandoned just like she was. Sanga says, “As a grown person I used to think, about parentless children who are needy and hungry for the love of parents and whose future is dark. I often used to think if I could help and support this kind of children and if I could help them to grow in the love of God, how it would be great.” In 2007 Sanga began to work with orphaned children and now she has 16 happy children who have a home where they are loved. Sanga says, “I am no more orphan – God gave me many parents, brothers and sister, lots of care and I am trying to share with my kids what I lost in my childhood.”
